Forthcoming session of the Commission for Social Development: ICSW inputs invited for the written statement of the organization

The 61st session of the Commission for Social Development (CSocD-61) will take place from 6 to 15 February 2023 at the United Nations Headquarters in New York. The priority theme of the session is "Creating full and productive employment and decent work for all as a way of overcoming inequalities to accelerate the recovery from the COVID-19 pandemic and the full implementation of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development".
The CSocD is a functional commission of the Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC) of the United Nations. Since the convening of the World Summit for Social Development in Copenhagen in 1995, the Commission has been the key UN body in charge of the follow-up and implementation of the Copenhagen Declaration and Programme of Action.
Apart from consideration of the priority theme the Commission will also undertake Review of relevant United Nations plans and programmes of action pertaining to the situation of social groups (older persons, persons with disabilities, youth and family).
Traditionally, ICSW submits a written statement to the Commission on the priority theme. This is one of the best ways to get our collective voice heard internationally. The ICSW members are invited to submit their inputs to the ICSW statement in English, French or Spanish by 15 October 2022 to Sergei Zelenev,
