The World Summit for Social Development (WSSD) was held in Copenhagen in 1995. The Summit concentrated on four core issues - poverty alleviation, unemployment, social exclusion and an enabling environment for social development. The section contains information from ICSW, other civil society organizations, UN and intergovernmental bodies as well as governmental bodies represented at the WSSD. The section reports on the WSSD and its subsequent implementation and monitoring.

ICSW published the Social Development Review journal from 1996 to 2004. The archive contains all editions which focus on global social and economic development issues.

In the ICSW structure we have nine geographic regions headed by a regional president. The members in the different regions are furnished with a newsletter. ICSW supports the Global Social Policy Journal. In particular, ICSW sponsors a section called "Southern Voices" as part of the "GSP Digest". A new "GSP Digest" appears each four months and can be found in 'What's NEW?'.
