ISCTE – Instituto Universitário de Lisboa hosted International Council on Social Welfare Europe for their annual General Assembly 2025 that took place on 21 November 2025.
The Agenda of the GA contained obligatory points as ICSW Europe Annual Activity Report 2025 presented by the President of ICSW Europe, financial report of 2024 and budgets for 2025 and 2026 prepared by the Treasurer of ICSW Europe.
An important point of the Agenda was the Development of ICSW that was presented by one of ICSW Europe Board members, Jukka Petteri Haapakoski.

The presented paper was the result of the Working group consisted of Jukka Petteri Haapakoski (SOSTE Finland), Bert Åberg (ICSW Sweden) and Eva Holmberg Herrström (ICSW Sweden).
The working group was formed on the basis of a decision taken at the General Assembly of ICSW Europe in Stockholm in 2024 the purpose of which was to give suggestions to improve the democracy, transparency and communication of the organisation. The paper that was approved by ICSW Europe GA will be forwarded to global ICSW for further discussing.
